Transporting & Safety

The Taildecker Deck provides a stationary travel port for your Magma grill. The transport position is clearly marked on the Taildecker The grill MUST be secured in a “locked port position” for travel. (Note: Swing away pedestals are NOT to be used for travel). The propane tank MUST be removed from the grill for all travel and placed in a safe place. (Please refer to “Propane Safety” below).

All accessories, including the grill, MUST be in a “locked port position” for travel. The Locking lever MUST be secured in the “Locked port position” with a lock or locking pin.

The Magma grill offers a fast cooling surface. Allow the grill  adequate time for cooling after use before changing into travel position. (See Magma grill owner’s manual for safety guidelines or visit www.magmaproducts.com for more information.

Other Safety Considerations

The Taildecker Deck’s maximum weight capacity is NOT to exceed 500 lbs. It should Not be used as a step.

The Taildecker is only to be used for a tailgating entertainment station. The Taildecker Deck is NOT to be used for towing.

The Taildecker Deck must be secured into a quality receiver hitch in like-new factory condition, free of defects for proper installation.

Receiver Hitch must be a minum of 14 inches high for clearance allowance from typical road conditions. Taildecker Inc. assumes no liability for improper installation or customer abuse.

Suggested Safety Items

In addition to the mandatory safety precautions above, we also suggest that you consider the following items:

  • A high beam long life flashlight or fuel powered lantern
  • A first aid safety kit equipped for minor burns and abbrasions and with items specific to any known allergies, such as bee stings or food allergies
  • A fire extinguisher
  • A cell phone
  • Orange cones to designate your space
  • Duct tape to secure power cords or satellite connections
  • A laminated list of emergency contacts and phone numbers
